Helen N. HopkinsAttorney
Helen Hopkins has been practicing immigration law since 1995, primarily employment-based immigration, with a focus on immigrant first-preference petitions in the Outstanding Researcher and Extraordinary Ability categories, and nonimmigrant Extraordinary Ability visas.
Previously, Ms. Hopkins worked for several boutique immigration firms in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has also worked for a non-profit centered on family-based immigration for immigrant victims of crime and domestic violence.
Community work includes volunteering for the 100 Women’s Foundation, which awards grants to local non-profits in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties in the categories of health and wellness, family and education.
Ms. Hopkins received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she was a Technical Editor of the Santa Clara High Technology Law Journal and participated in the summer study abroad program at Oxford University. She graduated with a B.A. in history with honors from San Jose State University. She is a member of the California State Bar and American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
