Ms. Wong rejoined Cornerstone Law Group in November 2009 and was previously an immigration attorney in Cornerstone Law Group's Immigration Practice from 2003–2004. Prior to Cornerstone Law Group, Ms. Wong practiced employment and family–based immigration law at the law firm of Fallon, Bixby, Cheng and Lee in San Francisco, California.

Ms. Wong received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Wong participated in the Refugee and Immigration Advocacy Clinic where she provided representation to limited–English speaking immigrants and refugees in the area of public entitlements and citizenship. Ms. Wong also clerked with the King County Superior Court of Washington where she worked on the Washington Defenders Immigration Project in providing judicial training on immigration matters affecting non–citizen criminal defendants. In 2000, Ms. Wong was the recipient of the American Immigration Law Foundation's (AILF) Dubroff Award which promotes scholarship and excellence in analytical writing on U.S. immigration law subjects. Her award–winning article entitled "The Internal Flight Alternative: Mobility of Women Limited by Spatial and Social Constraints," was later published in Bender's Immigration Bulletin.

Ms. Wong earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Washington, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, with an emphasis on Creative Writing. Ms. Wong is a member of the California Bar Association and Washington State Bar Association.
